Q: Why should I sign up for a Squibbles account?
When you have an account you'll be able to submit links that you've found interesting for other users to check out. An account enables you to vote for links you enjoy, create lists of your favorite links, use the Squibbles forums, and much more. In the future your account history may qualify you to become a moderator of links, or you may be selected to help us beta test new features. An account turns Squibbles into a community rather than just a read-only place to find links.

Q: What does it cost?
It doesn't cost a thing to create a free account. With your basic account you can submit links, vote, comment on links, and create up to five favorites lists. We always appreciate donations and advertising will be a minimal presence on the website. You can browse the website ad-free for one year if you donate $20 or more. Please contact us with your PayPal username and your Squibbles username so that we can update your account.

Q: How does it work?
A user with an account submits a link to something on the internet they feel other kids (kid content) or parents and teachers (parent/teacher resources) would enjoy. We currently have four age groups:
- Babies - between 0 and two years.
- Toddlers - between two and four.
- Preschoolers - between four and six.
- Elementary - between six and thirteen.
- Teenager - between thirteen and twenty.
Our moderators (site administrators and senior site users) will review the link to ensure that it's appropriate content for at least one of the Squibbles age groups. Approved submissions then appear on the home page until they become the twenty-sixth most recent link. At that point Squibbles will be moved to our archives, available by clicking on a Browse link.
If you have a Squibbles account you can vote for links or save them to your favorites.

Q: What does 'vote on a link' mean?
If you have a Squibbles account you can vote once for each link. The most popular links will be those with the most votes, thus they are the most popular among parents and teachers. When you submit a link you're automatically registered one vote from yourself. You may not vote more than once on a link. Some features use your voting history to recommend new links.

Q: What does 'favorites' mean?
The idea behind the list feature is to allow users to create personalized lists of favorite links. You can create up to five different lists and save favorite links you find at Squibbles to any of those lists. These lists may be published and even shared with other Squibbles users of your choice, allowing those users to contribute to the same list.
For example, I have created a list for my son. When we're surfing Squibbles and we find a link he likes, I'll save it to his list. I can bookmark his list in my web browser so that I always have it available. When I share his list with my wife, and others who watch him, they too can save links they find to the same list. It's a central location for everyone to save favorite links as well as a central location for everyone to access them.
